Getting a home insurance quote
To get a house insurance quote you will be asked a few questions.
Firstly, you will need to provide your address with post code – this affects a house insurance quote because the premium is partly based on where you live. You may also be asked to confirm who lives at the property.
Are you an owner/occupier or do you rent your property out? You will then need to supply details on the physical state of the property. You may be asked when it was built, whether it has a flat roof and how many bedrooms it has.
When getting a house insurance quote, it's often worth getting both house and contents insurance together as buying the two policies at the same time might save you money.
Barclays can give you an online buildings insurance quote as well as a contents insurance quote. We can also quote you for combined house and contents insurance. For a convenient house insurance comparison, take a look at our quote facility.
