Our Travel, Travel Plus and Extended Trip options all come with Independent Traveller cover, which is designed to cover you for events such as airline strikes, volcanic ash clouds, extreme weather conditions or even just something like your hotel going out of business.

If you like to organise your own travel and accommodation, you’ll want the same control over your travel insurance too. In the case of an extreme event, such as the closure of airspace, if you haven’t booked with a travel agent you mightn’t be covered for cancellation costs or 'get-you-home' expenses. That’s where Independent Traveller comes in.
