We've compiled a range of information to help you decide if Life Insurance from Aviva is right for you. The insurance is provided on a non-advised basis and so we will not make a recommendation about the suitability of this plan for your demands and needs.

What level of cover is right to meet my needs?

  • You can choose either a fixed monthly payment or the amount of cover you would like – what you pay or the cover you receive will depend on your age, personal circumstances and how long you want the cover for.
  • This product is sold on a non-advised basis and you must choose the level of cover you require.
  • The tables below are for illustrative purposes only but demonstrate that in many instances, particularly at the lower premium end, for double the premium you can get much more than double the amount of cover.
  • It’s important you know what’s covered and what’s not - please read Barclays guide to insurance before taking out life insurance.

Level of cover

This product could meet your needs if...

  • You know the type of cover you want and don’t need advice.
  • You have financial commitments and dependants but no existing life cover in place.
  • You have cover for a specific need (ie to cover a mortgage) and your circumstances have changed, for example you've just got married or had a child.
  • You want to provide for loved ones should the worst happen.

Decide your cover in 3 easy     steps

Step 1 – Choose the type of cover you want

  • Level term life insurance - the level of cover remains the same throughout the term of the policy.
  • Decreasing term life insurance - the level of cover reduces each year broadly in line with the sum you may owe on a repayment mortgage. However, you can still take out this cover even if you don’t have a mortgage.

Step 2 – Choose the term

  • From three to 51 years to match your needs and depending on your circumstances.

Step 3 – Choose the sum assured or monthly premium

  • The information above may help you with this.
