You can get a link sent to your phone by texting ‘Pingit’ to 62555. To download the Barclays Pingit app, you need to be aged 16 or over, with a UK-registered mobile phone and UK current account.

If you do not have a smartphone, you can register to receive funds if you have a UK mobile phone number and a phone that can receive text messages.
Receive money - When you register we'll set up a Barclays Pingit Wallet account on the app for you to use to send money. We may ask you to confirm your identity in a Barclays branch
- You can top up the Barclays Pingit Wallet account by paying in cash at a Barclays branch, transferring money to it from your UK current account or using any UK Barclays cash machine
Non-smartphone customers
- You can't download the app, but you can still register to receive money using Barclays Pingit, as long as you have a UK mobile phone number and a phone that can receive text messages
How much can I send and receive?
- You can send up to £750 a day to family, friends and small business, subject to having available funds
- You can receive up to £5,000 a day from other users. We'll tell you if different limits apply to you and any steps you need to take to get full use of the service, such as undergoing additional ID checks in a Barclays branch
- Joint account holders can send up to £1,500 a day and receive up to £10,000 a day
International payments

What countries can I send payments to using Barclays Pingit?
International payments are currently only available to Botswana, Ghana, Kenya and Zambia. We are working on adding more countries soon. You can still send money to other countries via Online Banking, Telephone Banking or in branch.
Fees and charges
Barclays does not charge you for this service. An
exchange rate
will be applied when funds are converted from sterling to the local currency. You may incur charges by your service provider for internet usage.
