Registering

Barclays Business customers

  • Download the app to both send and receive payments

 

  • If your Barclays Business current account doesn’t have a debit card or you don’t have a smartphone or if you’re just not interested in sending payments, you can register online to receive payments only.

 

  • The business name that Barclays holds on record will be shown when you receive or send money through Barclays Pingit
  • If you’re already registered for Barclays Mobile Banking, there’s no need to register for Barclays Pingit too – just confirm your existing details within the app
  • Send up to £3,000 per day with no limits on how much you can receive. See all daily limits
  • Register up to 6 smartphone users against a single account so you and your team can send and receive from all devices 3

Non-Barclays Business customers

  • Register online to receive Barclays Pingit payments. You will not be able to send money.
  • The full name you provide when registering for the service will be made visible to customers who send you money
  • You can register an additional mobile phone number to the same account to receive payments
  • No limits on how much money you can receive

 

International payments

Send payments to family and friends in selected countries, securely and free of charge.

What countries can I send payments to using Barclays Pingit?

International payments are currently only available to Botswana, Ghana, Kenya and Zambia. We are working on adding more countries soon. You can still send money to other countries via Online Banking, Telephone Banking or in branch

Fees and charges

Barclays does not charge you for this service 1. An  exchange rate   will be applied when funds are converted from sterling to the local currency. You may incur charges by your service provider for internet usage.

Important information
 
1. Terms and conditions apply. You must have a UK current account and be aged 16 or above to use Barclays Pingit.
Business customers on certain tariffs will be charged for transactions. We can refuse to register you for Barclays Pingit or place limits on how you use it.
You can download the app and register to send and receive payments. To make payments, you must have a Barclays Business current account. If you hold your business current account at another UK bank, or don’t have a smartphone you can register online to receive payments only.
 
Payments in sterling. Minimum payment of £1, daily payment limits up to £3,000 per day subject to available funds. If you have any pending receipts, you must register within 24 hours or these will be cancelled.
 
The Barclays Pingit app only works with Android 2.2 and above, iOS 4.2 and above and BlackBerry OS 5.0 and above. You may be charged by your service provider for mobile or internet use.
  
2. You must have a smartphone and your Barclays Business current account must have a debit card for you to be able to register to send and receive payments using the Barclays Pingit app. You can still register online to receive payments without a smartphone or debit card on your Barclays Business current account. If your Barclays Business current account requires more than 1 signatory you will need to contact your Business Manager in order to capture consent from all signatories prior to being able to register to send and receive payments using Barclays Pingit, without doing this you can still register online to receive payments.
 
3. Non-Barclays Business account holders can link up to 2 secondary mobile numbers to allow colleagues to send or receive payments, or receive only. Barclays Business customers can authorise up to 6 employees who hold a business debit card to make payments with Barclays Pingit.
