Help managing your account
Are you a customer who needs someone to help with your day-to-day banking? Or are you someone who helps a Barclays customer with their banking because they can't do it all themselves?
We can provide extra help if:
- You hold an account with us and want to arrange for someone to run the account for you
- You have permission from one of our customers to manage their money for them
- You have permission from the Court or the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to manage someone else's money, as they cannot do it themselves.

All of these situations are referred to as Third Party Access. The person who has the authority to manage someone else's money is called a Third Party.
To establish Third Party Access, we need to see certain documentation. This is to prove that the Third Party does have written permission or legal authority to manage someone else's money, and to check the Third Party's identity.
