Our Performance Development scheme is designed to help you put together a clear set of objectives each year and will be an important part of deciding exactly which development opportunities are right for you. The options are pretty much endless.

To keep you ahead of the game and to help you get the most out of your job, we have a whole variety of learning opportunities available. They range from formal, face-to-face study through to internet-based learning - whichever suits you best.

Barclays University, our award-winning corporate initiative, gives you access to a wide range of resources for both work-related and personal development. And to deliver this to our people we have created a nationwide network of cutting edge multimedia learning facilities, Metro Centres, all of which are purpose built to offer a unique and comprehensive learning environment. Our Business School also supports and develops people moving into leadership or specialist roles.

We also provide up to £150 a year, available on a first-come-first-served basis, to pay for training or materials in a subject related to your own career development. This is on top of your standard training for your role. And if it's a professional qualification you're after, so long as it's related to your current job we'll consider giving financial support or study leave.
