As the name suggests, Additions is a bank account with added extras. For a small fee you get a whole range of benefits, protection and insurance.
The staff version is the same, but with a twist. Instead of adding to Additions, we have taken something away - 50% of the monthly fee.
The table below shows how much you pay compared to customers.

Even if the prices change in future, you'll still get the 50% discount.
So, which account is right for you? Summary of Accounts’ Features
You can apply for any of the Additions accounts by simply visiting your local branch.
However, if you already have a Barclays Current Account, you can also call 0845 678 1 678 to upgrade to any Additions account. Ask for 'other services', then 'current accounts'.
When you upgrade, your sort code and account number will remain the same. You will also be able to transfer your agreed overdraft limit from your existing Barclays account - providing it is below the Additions accounts' £5,000 limit.
If you want a new overdraft, or to increase your current overdraft, you'll need to do this separately. It doesn't matter whether you do this before or after the switch.
