How do I cancel a lost or stolen chequebook?

If you're looking to cancel an individual cheque, you can notify us in Online Banking. Just go to the 'Manage accounts' tab and select the 'View all online services' button - the scroll down to the 'Stop a cheque' link.

If you want to cancel a chequebook or cannot use Online Banking, call us if you’re registered for Telephone Banking, or contact any branch

Business customers – call 0345 605 2345* 

You’ll need to give us enough information to identify the chequebook, such as the number of any of the cheques, when you received it or when you last wrote a cheque from it.
