What should I do if a customer disputes a transaction made using Pingit?

As a trader, you are required to comply with various regulations which give customers certain rights when a purchase goes wrong. For example, any goods you sell must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.

If you are providing any service, you must do so with reasonable care and skill and provide the service in a reasonable time (if there is no specific time agreed) and for a reasonable charge (if no fixed price was set in advance).

If you fail to do this, you're required to give customers a full refund or if the customer requests, replace the goods or services. The customer is also entitled to cancel a contract without reason within 14 days and get a full refund.

We therefore expect you to comply with your obligations under any regulations that apply to you. This includes working with the customer to resolve any dispute and providing a refund or replacement without delay as may be required. Any failure to do this may result in us ending our relationship with you.

Please ensure you understand the regulations that apply to your business.
