Buildings sets and pairs

Up to £10,000 for undamaged items that form part of a set, suite or pair if one item is damaged and can’t be repaired or replaced with a matching item

Loss of rent

Up to £100,000 for loss of rent if your tenants are unable to live in the property due to an event covered under this policy

Tenant re-housing

Alternative accommodation for tenants up to £10,000 if your tenants are unable to live in the property due to an event covered under this policy

Public liability cover

Up to £2 million to cover the cost of a claim made against you for injury or damage that happens on your property

Malicious damage caused by tenants

Protection against malicious damage to your property caused by your tenants up to a value of £5,000

Replacement locks and keys

We’ll cover the cost of replacement locks if your keys are lost or stolen, keeping your property secure – up to £1,000

Cover for those annoying mishaps caused by you or your tenants such as putting a foot through the ceiling, reversing a car into the garage door, smashing a window with an errant stone whilst mowing the lawn or accidental damage to cables and underground pipes

Buildings protected no-claim discount

Allows 2 claims in 5 years without losing your no-claim discount and your premium won’t be affected as a direct result of those claims

What's not covered

You’ll have to pay the first part of most claims. Your policy schedule will provide details of the applicable excess. Here are some of the things that aren’t covered:

  • Damage caused by wet or dry rot
  • Gates, fences or hedges blown down in a storm
  • Certain loss or damage that happens when your property is unoccupied for more than the number of days permitted by the policy
  • Damage to cables or underground pipes due to a fault or limit of design, manufacture, construction or installation
  • Theft by tenants
