Do I have enough money to cover a payment?
We only make a payment for you if you have enough money in your account. The available balance shown may not reflect the amount actually available. In deciding whether you have enough money available to make a payment, we:
- Add together your balance, any overdraft or Emergency Borrowing limit and any cheques we're treating as available*
- Take away the total amount of payments you've asked us to make that haven't yet been paid, including any debit card payments we've authorised
