How to manage your insurance with Allianz
If you’re an existing policy holder, Allianz can support you with claims, adjustments, cancellations and complaints. If you need to get in touch with them about your existing policy, you can call them on 0344 209 6096.
You might be able to defer your payments, as long as you
- Have made at least one payment on your policy since you took it out
- Pay monthly by Direct Debit
You can choose to defer your payments for one, two or three months.
If you pay yearly, you could switch to paying by Direct Debit when you renew. Give Allianz a call on 0344 209 60961 to talk about your options.
It’s when Allianz agree to temporarily stop collecting your insurance payments. You can choose to defer your payments for one, two or three months, but this has to be within the policy period. Your payments will start again after this.
Allianz will tell you how your payments will change when you speak to them.
Here’s an example, for now – if you’re paying £50 per month and you decide to defer for three months, near the beginning of your policy, it’ll work like this:
What you’ve paid so far
Months one to four – £50 per month
Amount left to pay – over the next eight months
Amount accrued during your three-month deferral – Allianz will collect this later
Payment schedule going forward
Months five to seven – £0 per month
Month eight onwards – £80 per month
Total amount you’ve paid over 12 months
You can still make a claim while your payments are deferred. If you do, Allianz could ask you to pay the full policy amount.
You can start your payment deferral straight away, as long as you’re eligible and you let Allianz know at least five working days before your usual Direct Debit date.
If you have less than five days before your Direct Debit, your deferral will start next month instead. You’ll need to tell Allianz – just call 0344 209 60961.

Allianz have a few other options that might suit you, like changing your payment date, reducing your payment and checking if your cover needs have changed.

Make a claim by using the links against your chosen product below. You'll be taken to the Allianz website to complete your form. Once you submit your form Allianz will be in touch within 3 days – you’'ll be given your claim reference number.
