1. What is cashback?
If you use Online Banking or the Barclays app, Cashback is a free service that lets you get money back on goods, services and travel through exclusive partnerships with premium brands and leading retailers.
To explore cashback, just log in to Online Banking and select 'Cashback' from the top navigation bar or under 'My accounts'.
2. Is cashback free?
Yes, cashback is free and exclusive to you if you're registered for Online Banking or the Barclays app. You can save money through cashback offers, discounts and money-saving services.
3. Do I have to be a customer to use cashback?
Yes, and you'll need to be registered for Online Banking, too. Cashback is available automatically if you have an eligible account with us. ISAs can't receive cashback, so you can't use cashback with ISAs.
4. Do I have to create a cashback account to use it?
No, as long as you're an Online Banking customer, you can use cashback straight away by logging into Online Banking and selecting the 'Cashback' link in the top navigation bar.
Once you start shopping, you'll have to register with each of our cashback partners before you can shop on their site.
5. Can I open a new account to start using cashback?
Yes, open a new personal, student or business account, register for Online Banking and you'll be able to take advantage of all the rewards and services cashback has to offer as soon as your account is up and running.
6. How do I start using cashback?
Log in to Online Banking and select 'Cashback' from the top navigation bar or by clicking on the cashback widget.
This will take you to the cashback homepage, where you can see all the brands, services, rewards and discounts on offer. Select any of the partners you want to explore and start shopping – it's that simple. All you need to do is register with each partner, which takes just a few minutes. Then you can start shopping as much as you like – for yourself, your friends or your family.
7. How do I claim a reward, discount or service with cashback?
Just make sure you shop using the cashback site to book your travel or buy a product. All you need to do is register with the partner – which takes just a few minutes. Once that's done you can start using cashback. Your rewards, will appear automatically on your cashback pages.

8. When will I get my cashback?
That depends on the purchase you made. If you booked a trip with Expedia, please allow up to 77 days after your trip is completed for your cashback to be deposited into your account. If you bought something through cashback, it usually takes up to 77 days from when your purchase has been confirmed by the retailer for the cashback to be deposited into your account. There can be occasional delays, taking it up to 120 days.
9. Why do you need my email address?
We need your email address so our cashback partners can create an account for you that's used to manage your purchases, cashback or savings and contact you regarding your purchases or bookings.
10. Will my banking information ever be shared with a cashback partner?
No, we won't share your secure bank details with anyone. Transactions you make through cashback will be treated like any other transaction using your account with us – with utmost security.
11. Where will my cashback be paid?
If you have Blue Rewards
We’ll pay cashback into your nominated current account as two separate transactions.
- Firstly, we’ll pay in standard cashback – that’s the rate advertised for everyone. For example, 2% on £100 would be £2 cashback.
- Secondly, we’ll pay in enhanced cashback – this will be on or around the third working day of the month after your standard cashback payment. It will be at the Blue Rewards enhanced rate – for example, an extra 1% on £100 would be £1 cashback. This second payment will also include any promotional Blue Rewards double cashback offers.
You can select, view and change your nominated account in the ‘Your rewards details’ section of Online Banking or the Barclays app.
If you don’t have Blue Rewards
We’ll pay cashback into your nominated current account, as long as it’s still open and you’re using Online Banking or the Barclays app. It’ll be labelled as ‘Barclays cashback’.
You can select, view and change your nominated account in the ‘Your rewards details’ section of Online Banking or your app.
