How do I get a paper copy of my statement?

If you need a paper copy of a bank statement to use as proof of address or ID – such as for a mortgage or visa application – you can view, download and print it by heading to ‘Statements and documents’ in Online or Mobile Banking1. You can check your balance and transactions here, too.

If you’re not registered, you can order a copy of your statement by calling Telephone Banking or visiting a branch.

If you close your current account, we need to provide you with up to five years of your transaction history by law – if you want it. You can ask for it at a later date, but you’ll only get up to five years from the day you ask us. We’ll send you the transaction history as paper copies of your statements.

When you get in touch, please let us know how many months of statements you’d like – if you don’t, we’ll automatically send five years’ worth.

  • Online banking

    From July 2013, electronic copies of your statements will have automatically been saved in Online Banking. However, if you registered to get your statements online before July 2013, you’ll be able to view them from the date you registered. 

    To view them, click on your name and choose ‘Online statements’ from the drop-down menu. Then, select the account you’d like to view, choose the relevant statement and ‘Download’ – you’ll then be able to print it from your computer.

  • Barclays Mobile Banking

    Electronic copies of your statements from July 2013 are automatically saved in your mobile-banking app. However, if you registered to get your statements online before July 2013, you’ll be able to view them from the date you registered. 

    To view them, log in to your app, choose ‘More’, ‘Statements and documents’, and ‘Statements’. From the list, choose the relevant statement and tap ‘Download’ – you’ll then be able to print it.

  • Telephone Banking

    If you can’t register for Online or Mobile Banking, you can order a copy of your statement by calling Telephone Banking (if you’re registered).

    We can send you copies of your statements by 2nd class post – they should arrive in seven days. If the statement’s in large print, audio or Braille format, it can take up to 20 days to arrive.
