Question 2 of 8 about Making and receiving international payments
Where can I find my IBAN or SWIFT code?
You can use our tool to generate your IBAN for any of your Barclays accounts.
Enter your sort code and account number below, then select the ‘Generate IBAN’ button. It might take a few seconds for the IBAN to be displayed so only press the button once.
You can also find your IBAN on your bank account statement in the app.
A SWIFT code (or SWIFTBIC, as it’s sometimes known) helps overseas banks identify which bank to send money to. You might be asked for the Barclays SWIFT code when someone wants to send you a payment.
The Barclays UK SWIFT code is BUKBGB22
You might also see three extra numbers added to represent a specific branch. SWIFT codes can be 8 or 11 digits long. If you’re asked for an 11 digit code, type XXX at the end of the 8 digit Barclays UK SWIFT code.
