What happens with Contactless Mobile if my physical debit card is temporarily blocked or suspended?
If you tell us you’ve lost your card, we can temporarily block or suspend it. You’ll still be able to make contactless payments using your phone – unless you select ‘Contactless Mobile’ in Barclays Mobile Banking, in which case, the service will be disabled.
If you find your card, the temporary block can be removed and, providing the service hasn’t been disabled, you’ll be able to use Contactless Mobile as normal.
If the service has been disabled, you’ll need to go to ‘Contactless Mobile’ in your app and select the image of the card you want to use.
If you use Contactless Mobile on Transport for London, you’ll also need to advise them of your new account number.
