If I apply to switch to a Barclays current account, could my switch application be rejected?

Your switch could be rejected if the personal details you gave us don't match the details your old bank has – so do make sure everything is correct. If you’re using the account switching feature in Pingit, please make sure your old bank has the same personal details you use for Pingit.

Remember that, if you’re doing a full account switch (which means that you’re switching everything over to your new account and closing your old one), you’ll need to visit a Barclays branch to confirm your identity within 5 working days of opening the new account.

If your switch is rejected, you can re-apply.
