Can I check the status of a Pingit international payment?
Yes – take a look at the ‘Activity’ screen in the app. Payments can show as
- In progress – Pingit has accepted your payment request and is processing it. You can’t change or cancel the payment
- Sent – we can’t tell exactly where the payment is because it’s in an international system, and international payments can take up to 2 working days to arrive. It’s either with the person you sent it to, or it’s on its way. Payments that another international bank has returned will still show as ‘Sent’ if they’ve returned the money to you – this is because sending the money back is a separate transaction
- Cancelled – Pingit cancelled your payment after you confirmed you wanted us to send it. This usually happens because you didn’t have enough money in your account to make the payment
