Contents insurance for tenants

Cover while you’re renting

Renting a property? Our contents insurance will cover the cost of replacing your belongings if they’re stolen, destroyed or damaged while they’re in your home or garden.

What is tenants insurance?

Tenants insurance is contents insurance if you’re renting your home. It protects your personal belongings against damage and theft, should the unexpected happen.

Do tenants need contents insurance?

If you rent your home, you don’t need to worry about insuring the building or its fixtures – that’s usually your landlord’s responsibility. But it’s a good idea to make sure that anything you own is covered against theft and vandalism, as well as fire or water damage. You can also add cover to protect against things you might damage accidentally.
