Greener Home Reward

We can help you make your home greener

A reward for greener choices

We could help you with the cost of adding solar panels, insulation, a heat pump and much more. If you’ve got an existing mortgage with us and are interested in making such improvements, you may be eligible for our Greener Home Reward1. Find out more below.

TrustMark is the only Government Endorsed Quality Scheme that covers the work people choose to carry out in or around their home. If you want to learn more about TrustMark, visit their website.

The dates for registrations and claims have been extended.

You now have until 31 January 2024 to register and until 31 July 2024 to claim.

Are you eligible?

You can register for the Greener Home Reward if you

  • Haven’t previously claimed the reward (one claim per residential property, which must be your main home)

  • Have a residential mortgage with us2

  • Have the home improvements carried out on the property listed on your mortgage

  • Pay your mortgage by Direct Debit - we’ll pay the reward into this account4

  • Aren't in arrears at the time of registration5

  • Your home improvement works have to be completed between 25 October 2022 and 31 July 2024. The costs shown on your invoice must be equal to or more than the value of the reward.

You don't need to borrow more money or take out a loan from us to make you eligible for the Greener Home Reward.

Eligible home improvements

This table shows the home improvements we’ll reward you for, along with the amount to expect if your Greener Home Reward claim is accepted.6

You can only receive one Greener Home Reward (or one between you if you’ve got a joint mortgage), and it must be for the residential property where you permanently live. You can’t make a second claim for any additional properties or home improvements.

We recommend speaking to a range of TrustMark-registered businesses or tradespeople to find out more about the products they offer, where they come from, what the work involves, and the cost and energy savings to expect. They may be able to help you choose the right home improvements for you. Make sure you do your own research and feel happy with your decision before going ahead with home improvements.
