Contact details within Barclays

The number you should call varies according to the type of fraud involved.

 

Online fraud

Call 0345 600 2323 (+44 247 684 2063 outside the UK or from a mobile) 1 – lines are open 7am to 11pm every day of the week.

If you're suspicious about an email that claims to be from us, forward it to internetsecurity@barclays.co.uk. Once you've done this, delete the email. There's no need to call us unless you believe you've disclosed your personal details or suffered a fraud.

 

Card fraud

To dispute a transaction on your debit card or to report a lost or stolen debit card, call 0345 945 4545 outside the UK +44 1928 584421 or from a mobile).

To dispute a transaction on your Barclaycard or if you think you've been called by fraudsters claiming to be from the Barclaycard Fraud Team, call 0844 811 9111 1 (ensure you have a dial tone before making a call).

For any concerns around Barclays fraud alerts sent via text SMS to your mobile, please call 0333 202 7462 1 (+44 1604 529410 outside the UK or from a mobile).

 

For all other fraud concerns, call 0345 734 5345 1 from 7am to 11pm daily.

Your local police

If your debit card, credit card or cheque book has been stolen, report it to your local police station. Note, however, that the police will only take reports of fraud from banks. The UK Police Service has links to local services throughout the UK.

CIFAS Protective Registration

UK fraud prevention service, CIFAS, offers Protective Registration to people who've fallen victim to, or are at risk of, identity theft. It flags your personal file so that when CIFAS member companies like ours receive an application in your name, they'll conduct extra checks to ensure that the application is genuine. Action Fraud

If you're the victim of an advance-fee fraud, investment fraud or other scam, report it to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 or online at actionfraud.police.uk
