Homes for Ukraine
Accommodation for people fleeing the war in Ukraine
The UK government has announced the creation of the Homes for Ukraine scheme.
The scheme will connect Ukrainians and their immediate family members fleeing the war, with individuals and organisations willing to offer them accommodation in the UK.
We’re fully supportive of this new scheme and we are working closely with the government as details are being finalised. We want to help make it as simple as possible for homeowners to take part.
If you've been approved to participate in the scheme and matched with an individual or family, for now all you need to do is let us know.
The Homes for Ukraine scheme was launched by the UK government on 14 March 2022. It was created to allow individuals and organisations in the UK (‘sponsors’) to open their homes to Ukrainians fleeing their homeland, and their immediate families.

As part of the Homes for Ukraine scheme application process, you need to tell your mortgage lender when you’ve been matched with an individual or family. If your mortgage is with us, let us know you’re a sponsor at barclays.co.uk/forms/mortgages/homes-for-ukraine
No. If you become a sponsor, we won’t charge any additional fees or move you to a higher interest rate as a direct result of your participation in the scheme.
We’ll update this page as soon as we know more.
