Investing with Smart Investor
A simple way to make your money work for you
The value of investments can go down as well as up, so there’s a chance you might get back less than you put in. We don’t offer personal investment advice, so if you're unsure about investing, please speak to a financial adviser. The value of any tax benefits will depend on your own circumstances and tax rules could change in the future.

I'm new to investing
I’m 35 and have a 2-year old son. I’d like to start putting money away for his education and I’m also thinking about my future. I have a workplace pension but I want to be as prepared as I can for later in life. I don’t have a large sum to start with but I can save regularly each month.
I’ve been thinking about investing for a while now but I’m not sure where to start.
I've got the basics covered
I’m 52 and a florist at my own small flower shop. I’d like to retire within the next 10 years and I want to top up my retirement pot as much as I can before I stop working. In addition to my pension, I’ve got £10,000 ready to invest and can contribute £600 per month.
I’ve invested a little in the past so I know the basics but I need some pointers and tips when it comes to choosing investments and understanding what’s going on in the market.
These are all examples of the types of people who invest with us, they’re not real life customers.
