Barclays Bank Account
When you add one or more Packs to your Barclays Bank Account, you’re eligible to apply for an arranged overdraft, of which the first £100 will be interest free (subject to application, financial circumstances and borrowing history). If you already have an arranged overdraft, the first £100 will become interest free, although your overdraft limit won’t change.
An arranged overdraft limit is a borrowing facility which allows you to borrow money through your current account.
How does our overdraft compare?
A good way to compare the cost of our overdraft with other overdrafts or other ways of borrowing is to look at the APR. The APR shows the cost of borrowing over a year.
Representative Example
0% interest (variable) payable on arranged overdrafts up to £100. If you use an arranged overdraft above this amount the annual rate of interest is 35.0% (variable)
56.7% APR Representative (variable), based on a £1200 overdraft balance and monthly Travel Plus pack fees of £18.00
The maximum arranged overdraft is £5,000
Accounts not eligible for an interest free overdraft
Overdrafts aren’t available on Barclays Basic Current Accounts, but you can still enjoy the other benefits of the Travel Plus Pack.
When you add a pack to a Student Additions Account, Higher Education Account or Premier Current Account, no additional interest free arranged overdraft amount is available as a result of you adding a Pack. You can find out more by visiting www.barclays.co.uk/overdrafts
Arranged overdrafts are repayable on demand and you must be 18 or over, and UK resident to apply. You can contact us at Barclays, Leicester, LE87 2BB.
