What happens if I don't have enough funds to complete my Transport for London (TfL) journey using a contactless Barclays debit card or Barclaycard?
You may be able to complete your journey, but your card will then be temporarily stopped and you won’t be able to use it to make any further journeys until the outstanding amount is paid to TfL. However, you should still be able to use your card with other retailers.
You can pay any unpaid fares through your TfL online account or by phoning TfL on 0343 222 1234. Once you’ve done this, and you have funds in your account, you’ll need to contact TfL on 0343 222 1234 in order to make further journeys using your card. However, it may take up to 30 minutes before you can use your card to travel again after making the call.
For problems with your Barclaycard account, call us on 0800 151 0900 .
