A secure way to pay

Plus, payments need to be authorised with Touch ID or Face ID when paying in store or in-app.

In-store payments

Hundreds of thousands of stores now accept Apple Pay, as well as Transport for London. You can use Apple Pay anywhere that accepts contactless payments. And you can now make payments for any amount with Apple Pay, though some retailers have a £45 limit.

In-app purchases

Many apps now accept Apple Pay, so you don’t have to enter your card details to make in-app purchases. Simply select Apple Pay at the checkout and use Touch ID or Face ID to complete your payment.

  • It’s easy to get set up and use Apple Pay with your debit card or Barclaycard.

Just make sure your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch has the latest software update installed – you’ll find this under ‘General’ in ‘Settings’.
