Why can’t I change my address in my app?
You can change your address in your app, depending on the type of account you have.
- If you're with Premier or have a personal account with us, you can change your address straight away in your app or Online Banking. If you have a Barclaycard, this will also update it for that.
- If you're a Wealth Management client or have a business account with us, you can change your address in Online Banking.
- If you want to update your address to another country outside the UK, you’ll need to contact us.
If you change your address in your app or Online Banking, it’ll update the address for your joint accounts too, and the other account holders will see that. If you don’t want to update your joint accounts, please contact us. If the other account holders want to change the address for their own accounts, they can do it in the app.
Changing your contact details for specific products and services
If you use any of these, you’ll need to contact us to change your personal details:
- Mortgage – if you have a current account and a mortgage with us, you can update your address in your app or Online Banking. If you only have a mortgage with us, call 0333 202 7580 1

- Home insurance – for policy codes starting with MPH, call 0800 051 3533 1. For policy codes starting with MHO, BHI, BCI or WCI, call 0800 015 0246 1
- Life insurance – Legal & General on 03700 104 080 1
- Travel insurance – if you have single, annual or multi-trip travel insurance with us, call Cigna 0330 103 6417 1 This is only for standalone travel policies. If your cover is through your current account Travel Pack, your cover will be updated when you change your contact details
- Payment protection insurance or Barclays income insurance – call Monument Insurance DAC on 0800 056 1414 1
- Barclays Partner Finance – if you have a current account with us, you can change your address in your app or Online Banking. If you only have a partner finance account with us, call 0345 734 5345 1, or +44 247 684 2100 1 from abroad. If you only have an instalment account with us, call 0800 152 2888 1, or 0044 123 668 1763 1 from abroad
- Current account – you can update your address in your app or Online Banking. Call us on 0345 734 5345 1if you need help.
