What happens if I am registered for the Barclays app and I change or lose my phone?

If you change your phone

Here’s how to move your Barclays app to a new phone.

  • Open your existing app and select ‘Help’ on the home screen
  • Tap ‘Register the app on a new device’. Select ‘Continue’ and then ‘Generate activation code’
  • On your new phone, download the Barclays app and open it
  • Tap ‘I have an activation code’
  • Enter your code when prompted and then select ‘Done’

You’ll need to remove your previous phone from the app.

  • Select ‘More’ at the bottom of the app home screen
  • Tap ‘Settings’ and then ‘Manage your devices’
  • Choose your previous phone from the list, tap ‘Remove this device’ and confirm your choice when prompted

If you’ve lost your phone

You’ll need to download the app on your new phone and register again.

Once you’ve done this, you’ll need to remove your lost phone from the app.

  • Select ‘More’ at the bottom of the app home screen
  • Tap ‘Settings’ and then ‘Manage your devices’
  • Choose your lost phone from the list, tap ‘Remove this device’ and confirm your choice when prompted
