How do I find out about interest rate changes?
You will be given 2 months' prior notice of any interest rate changes on your account. You can check for current rates in a variety of ways.
Online sources
Interest rates are updated on our web site. Our Saving rates overview page has:
- Interest rate information on savings accounts both past and present
- Our best savings rates for the accounts currently on offer – alongside the savings rates for those no longer available to new customers
- The Bank of England Bank Rate
In branch and by telephone
- Current interest rates are displayed in our branches. To find your nearest branch, use our branch locator
- You can get savings interest rates by calling 0345 744 5445*^ * or 0800 783 7303*^ * (Textphone). Lines are open 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, except bank holidays, and Saturday 9am to 1pm.
National press
Changes to interest rates are also published in the national press.
