Which cash machines can I use in the UK and abroad and what are the charges?
You can withdraw up to the standard limit of £300 a day in local currency with your Barclays debit card if you’re a Personal customer and have the funds in your account or an arranged overdraft. Premier customers can withdraw up to the standard limit of £1,000 a day and Business customers up to £750 a day. When you're travelling, the withdrawal limit in some countries may be lower than in the UK.
Please note that you can edit your daily cash machine limit in the ‘Your cards’ section of the Barclays app. Your new limit will be applied to cash machines in the UK and abroad.
You can use your debit card free of charge at our cash machines and at other UK cash machines where you see the VISA or PLUS signs. Some other companies may charge a fee.
You can use your debit card abroad to buy things or withdraw cash from cash machines wherever you see the VISA sign. If you use your debit card to make a payment abroad or withdraw cash, you’ll be charged a 2.99% Non-Sterling Transaction Fee. Remember that if you’re given the option, it’s almost always cheaper to make the payment in the local currency.
