What is a Remote payment?
Remote payments include:
- Internet payments
- In-app payments
- Telephone payments
- Mail order payments
Remote payments don’t include:
- Direct Debits
- Subscriptions
- Recurring payments
Remote payments are automatically switched on for your card, so you can make them as normal. You can switch them off in the ‘Cards’ section of the Barclays app1, or by asking us in a branch.
