Can I share data with third parties from my joint account?
Both people on the joint account will need to give permission for data to be shared.
If the other account owner doesn’t have mobile or Online Banking, they can give their permission by phone or in a branch.
Once permission has been granted by both parties, you’ll need to re-submit your request with the third party.
Remember: both parties only need to give their permission once. After this, just one of the people on the account can give permission to share data. This decision can’t be reversed. If you have a joint business account, only one person needs to give permission to share data.
